Senior Controls Engineers work in both an office environment when designing and engineering control systems and in an industrial environment. Senior Controls Engineers work closely with the electrical contracting division as required. They are led by an experienced Project Manager and work with a team to design systems and develop code for complex automation projects. The Senior Controls Engineer is expected to service a large customer base composed primarily of dairy processing, food processing, bottling, and packaging industries. Salary depends on experience. Evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • BS in Engineering or 3-5 years of experience in automated control system integration.

  • Must be able to do the following:
    write PLC code, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control systems, service & project oriented and clearly communicate technical solutions for any control system challenges.


  • Design control system networks & control panels.
  • Develop PLC & HMI code.
  • Train, develop and recruit Project Engineers. Review contracts. Prepare presentations.
  • Develop controls system documentation i.e. IO list, device list, scope of work, conduit schedules, routing tables, FAT and SAT plans.
  • Perform FATs, commissioning and SATs.
